OBS KFB AIO Kit Introduction
I have long been a fan of OBS and their products, ever since I came across the Crius RTA. OBS for me make a good quality product that gives a great vaping experience. In this article, I will review OBS KFB AIO Kit, portable AIO kit with internal 2ml tank and a single replaceable 18650 battery.
OBS KFB AIO Kit Unbox
Cracking the lid on the box you are immediately presented with the OBS KFB AIO device itself also the instruction manual and finally a spare coil. That’s it, nothing more, nothing less. But this is a AIO device after all and marketed towards newer vapers and those ready to quit smoking. These guys and girls need a decent piece of kit without all the bells and whistles we more experienced vapers come to expect.
OBS KFB AIO Kit Specs and Features
Looking at the OBS KFB AIO it looks to be a well made device. One of the features from the Crius that I loved has made it onto this device and that was the top side fill system. This made filling easy regardless of the bottle being used to fill thanks to a generous filling hole. Working down from the top you have the tank area. This is a 2ml capacity and compliant with the TPD in Europe. Bear in mind this is an AIO (all in one) the tank doesn’t actually separate, nor does it have a spare glass, however the glass is protected by the body of the tank. This should offer ample protection. Below this is the fire button, nice and clicky and lights up. Usual story here of five clicks on five clicks off easy! Finally at the base of the sleek body is where what I deem to be the best feature of an AIO stick device.
You can unscrew the bottom and place in your own 18650 battery. For me this is a major positive and a good step forward. As a heavy vape user I would be rather disappointed in stopping using a device I am happy with because of having to let it charge up. So for me having user replaceable batteries is a big positive. Providing you look after this and your batteries you will have a device that will outlast similar products with a built in battery as well as being able to take advantage of larger battery capacities.
OBS KFB AIO Kit Performances
I started off with a 60/40 juice from Pick n Mix liquids and found the experience to be very pleasant. It was a moderately warm vape coming from the 0.3ohm coil and this was comfortable for me. I had the airflow wide open so as to use this as a DTL device. I found the airflow was good for my preferences. Thinking of the fact that recent quitters and those new to vaping may still be vaping MTL I closed off the airflow and with a small amount open I managed a decent MTL vape.
Flavour was as expected. Next up I tried what is now my benchmark for flavour liquid from I like VG, Apple Berry Crumble. This is the flavour that new devices must be able to make as enjoyable as I am used too. This is a 70/30 juice, I found the flavour to be very good. Not perfect though, some of the crumble taste was missing. But to be honest the rest of the flavour was spot on. This would not put me off using this in future though. It is merely my own personal test as I know how great the juice can taste in the right tank / rda.
OBS KFB AIO Kit Pros & Cons
- Design is sleek and stylish
- Replaceable battery
- Top fill
- Easy to use
- Drip tip is a little flimsy
OBS KFB AIO Kit Final Thoughts
This is a great device. While it is mostly suited to beginners thanks to its simple to use design I have found myself using it more than I expected. OBS have yet again delivered a product outstanding in both design and performance. Its great to see companies sticking to producing fewer products but when they do then they are quality products. It is also great to see a company looking at the beginner end of the market for a change too. So many positives and really only one con which I really had to be picky about.
