The Kanger Five6 Full Review

The Kanger Five6 Box Mod Kit in blackAKD (Advanced Kangertech Design) is Kangertech’s new product line. They are introducing a whole new series of products to celebrate the advent of their second decade of existence on April 16, 2017. The FIVE6 222W Vape Mod and Tank is here, and it is arguably one of the best box mods on the market right now!

A Great Deal of Ooomph

The huge power capacity (222 watts) is achieved by a clever positioning of batteries inside a strong but lightweight frame. The casing measures 94 mm x 40 mm x 57 mm and can swallow up to 5 external 18650 batteries in a space not much larger than similar mods. The aluminum alloy frame of the battery bay has clear “+” and “-” indicators for correct battery installation and is protected by casings in 5 awesome colors which slide off for easy battery swapping.

The output range is 5 – 222 watts and adjustments to the wattage occur in 0.1-watt increments.

Looking Good

The mod’s aluminum chassis bears the number 5 proudly emblazoned on a brightly colored casing. The color of the casings can be customized to match your mood and replaceable cases are available in red, yellow, black, green and blue.

Available in a number of colors

Perfect Placement

Another innovation is the new positioning of the display LCD with “+” and “-” buttons positioned on either side. In a flash of inspiration, Kanger set it at the top of the mod close to the 510 connection bezel, so that you can check your display settings at a glance while taking a hit: battery level, ohm info, and voltage is easily visible without maneuvering the mod around. Left-handed users will be happy to note that you can also flip the orientation of that display by 180°. You can also protect yourself from accidental changes to your perfect setting by locking the wattage setting – just press the fire and “-” buttons simultaneously. The firing button is just below the display, also towards the top, for easy pressing (click 5 times for magic times!).

Top-filling Convenience

Tank with top fill capabilityThe swivel-top design drip-free top-fill tank has a massive 8ml capacity with a large fill port. It fits snugly on the tank, which has two adjustable airflow ports at the bottom. The tank is constructed from a stainless steel & eco-brass body of 29mm x 50mm which weighs 94g, with a (replaceable) temperature-sensitive Pyrex glass tank that changes color as you vape.

Strategic Six-Pack

The all-new FIVE6 sub-ohm tank features three 0.6 ohm dual coils, with 2 parallel threads each, equaling an impressive six coils in total. However, in an unprecedented move, Kangertech has engineered a brand new proprietary, patented design which allows you to switch the number of coils in use at any given time!

Below the airflow ring, you’ll find three color coded push buttons representing the coil adjacent to each. Manipulate any combination of the buttons to activate 1, 2 or all 3 of the individual coils in the Tiger coil.

This is the Selectable Coil System with LED light indicator and is exclusive to the Kanger FIVE6 Tank. The LED lights indicate which coil is in use so that you can slip easily between one, two or all three dual coils according to your personal preferences. Mod wattage adjusts automatically according to the number of coils you have activated.

The Irresistible Advantage

The Kangertech Five6 Mod can fire coils with a resistance range of 0.1 ohm – 3.0 ohm:

  • 1 active Coil – operating resistance 0.6 ohms and a max rate 50W power
  • 2 active Coils – operating resistance 0.3 ohms with a max rate 100W power
  • 3 active Coils – operating resistance of 0.2 ohms and a max rate 150W power

Real Benefits For Users

Size of the Kanger Five6

  • Moderate to large battery unit size, but good tank size (94 mm x 40 mm x 57 mm and 29 mm x 50 mm respectively)
  • Massive power storage capacity with up to 5 x 18650 cells delivers the ultimate vaping times
  • Easy battery access and the USB charger allows it to be used as a power bank
  • Automatic power adjustment according to the number of coils in use
  • Three LED indicators for number of coils used
  • Customized look
  • Easy fill large non-drip tank
  • Heat resistant Pyrex glass tank tube
  • Adjustable airflow

Possible Drawbacks

Although the entire kit weighs less than 260g, it becomes significantly heavier when fully fitted with 5 batteries. This may be too heavy for some users, but the kit looks great and provides outstanding volumes of vapor with excellent taste. It’s also not a mod for new vapers, or those out there trying to quit smoking with e-cigs.

This is one of the most exciting mods for experienced users to hit the market in a while! We’re pleased to see Kanger move up the ranks as one of the best e-cigarettemanufacturers, but remember that batteries are not included, and batteries can not be charged while in the Five6 Mod, so you will need an external charger. If the weight won’t bother you, you will get astounding vaping times at 222W of maximum power without having to watch your battery consumption.

A basic how to guide

Your BatPack will work with 2 types of batteries “Ni-MH rechargeable and normal AA batteries.

Pre charge your Ni-MH rechargeable batteries or buy normal AA batteries to fit into your BatPack mod, follow the battery orientation marks to insert whichever choice of batteries you make.Joyetech BatPack re cells

Warning “Never mix battery types or brands” in this mod!

  • Pre wick the supplied coil through the top of the coil and via the juice intake slots on the side of the coil with a little e-liquid.
  • Reassemble the tank.
  • Fill with an e-liquid of your choice.Joyetech BatPack fill tank
  • Screw the cap back into place.
  • Screw the tank on to the BatPack

Leave the tank to stand for a few minutes before first use.

How Does The Joyetech BatPack Kit Perform?

Today I’m going to use banana butt “left cheek” e-liquid in the Joye Eco D16 tank, it’s a short fill e-liquid with 3mg nicotine.Joyetech BatPack LC

The BatPack adopts Joyetech Eco Technology and has 1.85 v constant output. The Eco D16 is a slightly modified version of the tank that came with the Ego Aio Eco and uses the same 0.5Ω bfhn coil.

Joyetech is adamant that the BatPack can only be used with the Eco D16 tank, and vice versa. In fact, a normal atty probably wouldn’t get enough power from the BatPack’s meagre output. So really should we consider calling the BatPack an Aio (All In One) instead of a kit?

Airflow/Flavour/Vapour Production

The airflow is very tight even by mouth to lung standards; however I was able to get a very, very restricted direct to lung draw from the tank! The flavour of the Left Cheek was extremely good “very tasty LOL” in both styles, while MTL the vapour was weak restricted DTL was a bit better but still not what I consider a good vape for me personally.

I’ve got to mention again that the BatPack will take 2 types of batteries, Ni-MH rechargeable and normal AA’s, the type you can buy from your local supermarket!

I tested both types of battery, Joyetech state on their website that the normal AA batteries will last 150 puffs and that the rechargeable Ni-MH will give you 800 puffs.

Personally I think they have over stated this slightly!

While I didn’t count the puff count of either battery type, I can say I am 100% sure they didn’t last as long as Joyetech state, I got 2.5hrs of constant use for the Ni-MH and nearly 1.5hrs for the AA’s.Joyetech BatPack fire light

Using another vape tank

I am a pig headed sort of guy so when someone says you can’t use another vape tank or RDA with a certain product, I have to go ahead and try and prove them wrong for myself LOL.

I first coiled up a bang on 0.5Ω Kanthal coil on my Tiny 14mm RDA, while I got vapour the normal AA batteries lasted all of 3 puffs!, So I tried again with a 1.5mm kanthal 1.0Ω coil this was better I did get some vapour! the Ni-MH batteries lasted me 30 minutes LOL.

I stopped trying after this, so far it looks like Joyetech might be correct you can’t use another atty with satisfaction on the box due to power restrictions – but watch this space though cos I aint giving up that easily!

  • Innovative
  • Works well
  • Fair vapour production
  • Good flavour
  • Would suit beginner vapers
  • Price needs no budget hands

  • Battery strength isn’t enough for those that expect more vapour
  • Inability to use other RDA/Tanks (so far at least lol)
  • Tight airflow

Final Review Verdict

Well it’s been an interesting ride with the Joyetech BatPack! Truth be told the kit isn’t for me, it’s simply too under powered for my style of vaping which lead to a slightly frustrating time for me, however I am pleased that I had the opportunity to try the kit. I love it when companies bring out something that hasn’t been tried before so 10/10 for an innovative effort Joyetech.

Joyetech claims that the use of AA batteries is perfectly safe in the Batpack due to the low power requirements of the kit. What do you think? Can good old AA batteries be a part of the future of vaping? Let us know in the comment section.

Would I buy the Joyetech BatPack kit again if lost or damaged? Sorry folks “NO” would be my answer.

Overview Eleaf iStick Nowos 80W Kit

Company Eleaf consistently pleases its fans innovation and improvement of existing lines. Novelty iStick Nowos – is the embodiment of several ideas, “walking” in the community.

For example, the manufacturer installed the touchscreen and changed the design of the device “under the smartphone.”

This comparison can be continued with the example of charging – now the port is presented not by standard micro-USB, but by USB Type-C. It was precisely this that the manufacturers of mobile phones began to switch to, so Eleaf is here on horseback.

iStick Nowos comes in a set with the time-tested Clearomizer Ello Duro. This is a modern clear with a capacity of 6.5 ml and all the necessary functions.

The set-up set-up is both a functional and stylish “unit” – comparable in appearance to a modern smartphone.

The novelty from Eleaf looks very impressive and with preservation of the recognizable style of box mods. On the “front” side of the device is a large touchscreen.

It may be white or black. The back cover is performed in the same color. Boca fashion is painted in one of five colors: blue, red, black, silver or rainbow (“gasoline”).

Dimensions of iStick Nowos fully correspond to the functionality – the version is placed in a “box” of 83.5 x 43 x 28 mm. However, for inconspicuous soaring device is not suitable, since it is not completely hidden in the palm of your hand.

The corners of the mod are rounded, so it fits in hand very comfortably. Additionally facilitates the grip of the deepening, going around the perimeter in the central part of the device.

The Fire button has a groove and stands out noticeably against the background of the case, making it convenient to find it with your finger. The body is made of zinc alloy.

Build quality is good, but the button has a slight backlash.

From 1 to 80 watts in 1 W increments. Below 20 W, the change step becomes 0.1 W.

Board accuracy, subwoofer

From 0.1 to 3 ohms. The atomizer landing pad has a diameter of 26 mm, so any modern clears and drips will fit on the iStick Nowos.

The accuracy of the board from Eleaf is not satisfactory. The device complies with all the promised characteristics, the mod responds almost instantly to pressing the Fire button.

The only complaint is the charge indication – if the charge is above 90%, then the percentages are spent very slowly. For example, you can hover from 93% to 92% for about an hour.

But below 90% of the number change quickly – almost as a percentage for a puff. In this case, the battery itself works as expected, this situation is only a “bug” of the display.

The battery in iStick Nowos is represented by a built-in battery with a capacity of 4400 mAh, which is quite enough for hovering at 80 W and supporting touchscreen operation.

The mode is charged through the USB Type-C connector already mentioned. It allows you to perform more high-speed charging using the QC 3.0 / PD 3.0 protocol — about 3 A. At this speed, the battery will fully charge in just 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Another indirect plus of Type-C is that the plug is symmetrical and can be inserted into the port by either side. For fast charging, you will need a special adapter (not included).

If this is not at hand, then the usual 2 A adapter will charge the battery in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The USB Type-C cable that comes in the box has a removable micro-USB adapter – it can also be used with mods with an old connector. iStick Nowos has a passthrough mode, so you can soar while charging.

Advertising materials assure that the mod has a touch screen, but this is a bit wrong. The display is not the same as in smartphones, and LED touchscreen.

The difference in monochrome and a smaller area of interactivity – in fact, you can only press on two points on the screen.

The display shows all the necessary information: power, resistance, tightening time and battery charge as a percentage. When charging also iStick Nowos shows the temperature of the battery.

Standard 510 steel connector with brass spring-loaded pin.

The device has a full set of protection:

  • from short circuit;
  • overcharge / overdischarge;
  • low / high resistance;
  • from evaporator overheating (cutoff at 10th second);
  • overheating of the device;
  • air vents for removal of gases.

IStick Nowos has additional protection against overheating or undercooling during charging. This increases the safety of use, given the high charging speed.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Kits.

Included with iStick Nowos is Ello Duro, already familiar to the bathers – this atomizer was in the iJust 3 set . This is a modern clearomizer with a capacity of 6.5 ml or 2 ml for Europe.

Clear is made in the same color as the box mod.

Ello Duro materials are stainless steel and Pyrex glass. Refueling – top, implemented in the form of a sliding cover.

By default, the manufacturer installs a spacer with a “membrane”, which additionally protects against leakage and allows you not to spill a drop.

If desired, the bather can replace it with a more familiar one – with the usual open opening for refueling.

The clearomizer is fully collapsible, the drip-type can be replaced with any other with an 810 o-ring connector. Tightening standard adjustment – swivel ring at the bottom of the clear.

A new set of steel evaporators HW-N Dual 0.25 Ohm and HW-M Dual 0.2 Ohm. This is a new version of kantalov “heads”, which are already known to the bathers due to the good taste transfer and abundant clubs of steam.

The difference is that the inside of the evaporator is not one cylinder with a mesh, but two, respectively, twice as much steam and taste. “Heads” are designed for high power soaring – 25 – 65 W and 25 – 60 W, respectively.

Due to the structure of the “spiral” in the form of a mesh, the liquid impregnates the evaporator more easily, which is expressed in the best taste and abundant steam.

Due to the modest functionality of iStick, Nowos requires virtually no configuration. You can enable and disable the mod by pressing the Fire button five times.

Pressing three times will show the power control touch buttons. This is done in order to avoid accidental changes while holding the device.

On the case of the mod there is a recessed Reset button that reboots the device if it suddenly “hangs” or needs to be “reset” to the factory settings.

  • Fashion dimensions: 83.5 x 43 x 28 mm
  • Dimensions fashion with clearomizer: 135 x 43 x 28 mm
  • Weight: 205 g (150 g mod, 55 g clearomizer)
  • Clearomizer capacity: 6.5 or 2 ml

  • Connector: 510 connector (spring-loaded brass pin)
  • Battery Capacity: 4400 mAh
  • Supported resistance: 0.1 – 3 ohm
  • Working power: 1 – 80 W
  • Maximum output voltage: 9 V
  • Maximum charging current: 3 A
  • Charging time: 1.5 – 2.5 hours

The mod comes in this set:

  • box mod iStick Nowos;
  • clearomizer Ello Duro;
  • spare “direct” glass;
  • evaporator HW-N Dual 0.25 Ohm;
  • evaporator HW-M Dual 0.2 Ohm;
  • spare o-rings;
  • spare spacers;
  • USB Type-C cable with a complete adapter for micro USB;
  • instruction;
  • branded packaging.

Feedback and experience of use

iStick Nowos collected mixed reviews. Experienced bathers reacted coolly to the new product, as it did not offer anything revolutionary new, and from the “old” only one option is offered.

The touch screen has repeatedly tried to add to the fashion, but the implementation has always been controversial, as the flowing fluid easily disrupted the control.

Fast charging is also not a novelty, although in this case Eleaf came up with the mind – did not squeeze the drops out of the aging standard, but switched to a promising new one.

Novice mod liked, and this is not surprising, because, most likely, it was on them iStick Nowos and was designed. Stylish design, simple and convenient control, fair charge, large battery and fast charging, if you have a suitable adapter at hand.

The only mode of operation of varivat – for beginners is rather a plus than a minus.

Of the shortcomings of the device can be noted mark – the glossy surface of the screen and the back cover very quickly “zalapyvayutsya”.

Versions with a black screen quickly become covered with fingerprints and dust, and with white, they suffer from insufficiently accurate information display. In the light of low-contrast numbers will be read with difficulty.

Also, the connector perceptibly protrudes from the housing, which is why atomizers will “levitate”. Even in the test samples, plastic appears slightly against the background of the central groove, so dirt will clog into this gap.

Probably, this flaw will be fixed in the version for sale.

Criticized and pricing. It is not known whether the similarity with smartphones affected the price or not, but at the time of publication the set can be purchased for 4300 – 5500 rubles.

The version without clearomizer will be about 800 rubles cheaper. For the existing functionality such a cost is high, so it is expected that prices will soon fall.

The device was presented before the New Year’s Eve, when people do not particularly consider money, so there is reason to believe that the set will be cheaper by about a third.

As a gift and the first device iStick Nowos – a good option. It is stylish and comfortable, autonomous and modern. Experienced bathers, most likely, should wait for something more impressive from Eleaf.

The Aspire Cleito 120 Review

The original Cleito was a real game changer – the first tank to combine the chimney (or center tube) with the atomiser.

The result?

Massive clouds of vapour with a very easy to use tank system.

The new Aspire Cleito 120 builds upon the success of the original, but is aimed at vapers using high powered devices to produce even more vapour. The tank is rated to 120 watts, but Aspire claims the tank can handle up to 160 watts.

Chris Betteridge from Derby
Andy Lloyd from Cheltenham
Rick Barnes from Sioux Falls, USA

What’s In The Box

  • Cleito 120 tank
  • Spare coil
  • Spare glass tank
  • Vape band

Cleito 120 Box Contents

  • Wide bore, chuff cap style, Delrin drip tip
  • Simple, leak resistant filling
  • Stainless steel construction
  • 0.16 Ohm coils rated between 100-120w, but capable of higher
  • Spitback guard incorporated into atomiser

Who Is The Cleito 120 For?

The Cleito 120 is ideal for vapers looking to maximise vapour production and flavour while running high powered devices.

Although rated at 120w max, hence the name, Aspire themselves say it can easily run up to 160w and more. However, be careful as the higher you go the more likely you are to burn a coil.

If you decide to run it at a higher wattage, our advice would be to run a new coil between the recommended wattages for a tank or two of e-liquid, then push the power up further in small increments.

The Cleito 120 atomiser heads are an improvement over the original coils, but unfortunately are only compatible with the Aspire Cleito 120.

How To Fill The Cleito 120

Cleito 120 FillingThe top fill mechanism on the 120 version is slightly different to the original Aspire.

Cleito 120 Filling Top ViewWith the original Cleito, the top came fully off, meaning it had to be upright to be filled. This often lead to the coil coming unscrewed at the time as it had the same thread direction. The 120 comes with a two-piece construction allowing you to remove the upper section, leaving a smaller (though still ample), cleaner filling hole and putting an end to spilled e-liquid!

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Tank.

How To Change The Coil

Cleito Coil Change

  • Empty the tank of e-liquid.
  • Unscrew the top section.
  • Remove the glass tank.
  • Unscrew the coil from the base.
  • Screw in the new coil, giving a half turn anti-clockwise to ensure threading is correct.

Cleito Half FullTopping Up

The wicking holes extend half the height of the chimney, and the e-liquid is vaporised quickly. So we recommend ensuring the Cleito is always at least half-way filled up to minimise the risk of burnt coils.

Cleito 120 Coil PrimePriming

Priming is important with all tanks, but particularly important with high powered tanks like the Cleito 120. Drip e-liquid onto the wicking holes before usage, and allow the tank to stand after filling for at least five minutes before using.

What We Like…

  • Massive vapour production
  • Great flavour
  • Simple design
  • Coils fire higher than rated
  • Improved filling system over the standard Cleito

What We Don’t Like

  • Only compatible with high powered devices
  • Drinks e-liquid (as all high powered tanks do).
  • Glass tank can be tricky to remove when changing the coil

Cleito Box and Tank

If you’re looking to go further in the search for power, the Cleito 120 is certainly an excellent tank.

The improved coil, combined with that power, means it also delivers a fuller, cleaner flavour too. If you’ve got a device that can run it, it’s well worth the investment!

Joyetech eGo AIO Review

With so many with new high-power, feature-rich vaporizers launched virtually every day, it’s easy to forget that for the vast majority of vapers simplicity and ease of use are still two very important qualities when it comes to electronic cigarettes. Most users aren’t interested in experimenting with variable wattage, temperature control or coil building, they are just looking for a simple device to help them keep their nicotine dependency in check and prevent them from going back to smoking. And that’s where e-cigs like the Joyetech eGo AIO come in.

In case you’re wondering, AIO stands for ‘all-in-one’, which basically means this is a starter kit that includes everything you need to start vaping, except e-liquid. So let’s start by checking out the contents of the eGO AIO kit:

A Look at the Contents

This slick looking e-cigarette comes in a sturdy rectangular cardboard box with a life-size rendition of the actual device on the front, and a short description of the unit as well as a list of the starter kit contents on the back. I know packaging doesn’t mean a whole lot for most people, but after reviewing dozens of vaping products in the last four years, I found that the quality and design of the packaging gives you a pretty good idea of the work that went into the unit itself.

Inside the box you have the eGo AIO electronic cigarette, two 0.6Ω stainless steel coil heads, a spare drip tip, a USB charging cable, the user manual – which comes in 6 different languages – and a warranty card. When it comes to starter kits, I always prefer to have two batteries included, so that when one needs recharging, I can just replace it and keep on vaping, but since the AIO has a unibody design with the tank and battery encased in a metal tube, replacing the battery is impossible. On the bright side, the 1500mAh rating guarantees above average battery life, and as long as you have access to a USB port you can charge the unit on the go and even use it as a passthrough as it charges.

The Joyetech eGo AIO is an impressive e-cigarette in more ways than one, but the first to catch my attention were its slick minimalist design and reduced size and weight. At 118.5 mm in length and 19 mm in diameter, the AIO is slightly bulkier and heavier than the original eGo style e-cigs I used to vape on in my early days, but slimmer and lighter than the modern the Joyetech eGo One, not to mention any advanced mod I’ve ever used. Having been using much larger and heavier devices lately, I found the eGo AIO surprisingly comfortable to use and carry around.

With a simplistic tube-like look and a single button to operate it, the Joyetech eGo AIO may come across as a rudimentary e-cigarette, but there’s more to it that meets the eye. The tank section, for example, has the same cup design as the revolutionary Joyetech Cubis tank , and uses the same bottom-feeding coil heads. In fact, even though the Chinese company doesn’t mention it yet, I can tell you that Cubis coil heads and even its small RBA section are compatible with the eGo AIO. The main advantage of this cup design is that it does away with tight refilling spaces or orifices, allowing you to simply pour in juice like you would in (you guessed it) a cup. The AIO has a capacity of 2 ml of e-liquid.

The drip tip and actually the whole top section – which is in fact the atomizer base – of the eGo AIO electronic cigarette appears fairly common as well, but features a couple of innovative elements that greatly affect the overall performance of the device. First of all, you’ll notice that you can actually rotate the cap continuously, but it doesn’t unscrew from the main body. That’s because it doubles as an air-flow control switch. Aligning the two small dots – one on the rotating ring and one on the drip tip – fully opens the hidden airflow slot, while rotating the ring so that the dots form a 90 degree angle closes it almost completely.

To actually unscrew the cap of the Joyetech eGo AIO, either to refill the Cubis-like tank or replace a coil head, you need to bypass a childproof mechanism similar to the one of e-liquid bottles. So instead of simply rotating the airflow ring, you have to apply some pressure and then turn it.

Last but not least, the plastic mouthpiece or drip tip has a unique spiral internal design that prevents spit back and e-liquid leaking into your mouth. It’s actually quite effective, as I’ve never once experienced any of these issues, and doesn’t effect vapor inhalation in any way.

So let’s summarize these interesting features: anti-leaking design, child-proof lock, spit-back protection, 2 ml tank capacity. I do believe Joyetech is trying to meet the requirements of the European Union’s new tobacco directive, which comes into effect in May of this year. This could turn out to be a big deal for the company, as apart from a number of cigalikes, I am not aware of any other e-cigs that meet the criteria specified in the new legislation.

Before we move on to the few things I didn’t like about the design of the Joyetech eGo AIO, I want to mention one final feature of the e-cigarette that doesn’t influence the way the device works, but adds to its visual appeal – LED lighting. Old eGo batteries had an LED button which lit up when the battery was activated, but its new generation eGo actually has an illuminated tank. While the device is powered off, all you have to do is keep the power button pressed for a couple of seconds, and the tank will light up in one of six available colors (red, yellow, green, blue, indigo, white or purple). You can cycle through them by pressing the button repeatedly and the device locks in your choice if the button isn’t pressed for another two seconds. Now, when the device is turned on, every time you press the fire button, the tank will glow in the selected color. It’s a nice party trick, I suppose. You can also opt for no lighting, for stealth vaping.

Now for the cons, if you can even call them that. The first has to do with cleaning the tank when you want to change your juice. Because of the unibody design of the eGo AIO, you can’t take the tank section apart and rinse it under running water, like you would a regular tank. So you need to be careful that water doesn’t find its way to the fire button or micro-USB port on the unit, because they don’t look water proof to me. It’s a bit of an inconvenience, but it shouldn’t be a big deal if you’re careful.

The second con has less to do with the AIO in general and more to do with the black version I received for this review. Basically the problem is that the unit is completely black and so are the markings on it so it’s hard to distinguish them. For example, there is a MAX sign on the tank section that marks the maximum level of juice you can put in, but it’s almost impossible to see in normal lighting conditions. It’s a minor flaw, but one that could have easily been avoided. Luckily, this doesn’t appear to be a problem in the other color versions of the eGo AIO (silver, black and white, red and white, grey and white).

Battery Life

1500mAh may not seem like much when compared to the battery capacity of other modern regulated devices, like the SMOK R80, which comes with a 4000mAh non-removable battery, but keep in mind that that is a variable wattage, temperature control device. The power output on the eGo AIO, on the other hand, is not adjustable, so it will only fire between 4.2V and 3.7V, depending on how charged the battery is. Couple that with the 0.6Ω coils included in the starter kit, and you have a wattage range of 15W – 28W. That’s more than enough to satisfy most vapors and doesn’t take a heavy toll on battery life.

I have been using the AIO almost exclusively for about a week now, and I have been getting almost a full day of vaping out of the battery. Now, I consider myself a heavy vaper, so that’s actually pretty good vaping time in my book. But since I spend a lot of time in front of a laptop, I usually just plug it in for 30 minuted or so every day, and use it as a passthrough while it charges. For an e-cigarette this small and elegant 1500mAh is more than enough, so battery life shouldn’t be a problem for most people.

Vapor Production and Overall Performance

So how does this thing vape, right? After all that’s what ultimately makes or breaks a vaporizer. Well, let me just say that I wish we had the Joyetech eGo AIO back when I quit smoking instead of those mediocre cigalikes. Don’t get me wrong, it was nice having any alternative to tobacco, but this thing is just a million times better.

First of all, it makes sub-ohm vaping available to virtually everyone, even fresh ex-smokers looking to try an electronic cigarette for the first time. That’s a big deal, because this used to be advanced vaping territory that users had to work their way up to after months or years of using rudimentary devices and educating themselves on a number of topics, from electrical currents to compatibility issues. Not anymore, though. With the Joyetech eGo AIO, you can enjoy the perks of sub-ohm vaping – amazing vapor and enhanced flavor, etc. – without the hassle usually associated with it.

In terms of vapor production, I am not exaggerating in any way when I say that the eGo AIO is on par with high-end mods operating in the 15W – 28W range. Compared to the devices usually aimed at beginners , this thing is a beast. The vapor is denser and warmer than any electronic cigarette this size I have ever tried and the flavor is simply phenomenal. I can’t even think of anything remotely this size to compare it with in terms of performance. Yes, it’s that good!

The one thing some people might have a problem with is the tight, cigarette-like draw. The airflow control ring does a decent job of making the draw a bit more airy when set to wide-open, but it can only do so much, because what really tightens the draw is the small air hole on the Cubis-type coils. Right now, the Joyetch eGo AIO is a mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaporizer, which makes sense since that’s what smokers are used to and they’re mainly the ones the Chinese company is mainly targeting with this device. You can do direct lung hits, but you’re definitely going to notice the difference between this and airier tanks like the SMOK TFV4 Mini, for example. Luckily, I prefer mouth-to-lung vaping anyway, so I don’t consider this a con.

The good thing is that Joyetech is very likely to release new types of compatible coils in the near future, especially with the Cubis tank getting so much positive feedback and the AIO sure to follow suit, but in the meantime you can just use 0.6Ω coil heads included in the kit, or the 0.5Ω ones designed for the Cubis and even the tank’s RBA base. That last one is a bit tricky, though, because you’ll have to test the resistance of the coils on an actual Cubis tanks, since the AIO doesn’t have ohm reader functionality and the RBA deck only fits on the Cubis. If you have one lying around though, the rebuildable base will allow you to experiment with various resistances and make the vape airier than with the standard coil heads.

And if you’re still not sure if you should give the Joyetech eGo AIO a try, the price is surely going to help you make up your mind.

Whether you’re an ex-smoker looking for a high-quality e-cigarette that works great and is easy to use, or if you’re an advanced vaper in search of a more compact sub-ohm device that’s easy to carry around, the Joyetech eGo AIO is perfect. Not only does it chug the vapor compared with other e-cigs, but it has so many useful features – child-proof lid, airflow control, 2 ml tank, and LED lighting, just to name a few. And let’s not forget the form factor – the AIO is a looker.
